Villa Calendar

The Villa is “common property” and so is used by both Neil and Alden’s families. With the continuing growth of the families, demand for use of the Villa is always increasing, meaning we are having increasing challenges with scheduling conflicts. After discussion and reflection, Brent and Monte have felt to implement this program: The two families will alternate weeks. A week is Sunday afternoon to Sunday morning.

Trading weeks (or days) is permissible, but we want to avoid possible problems inside a family when one person agrees to a trade without everyone in that family being on board. To avoid such problems in this program, we are saying only one person in each of the two families (the clearance person, who will communicate with all involved in that family) can authorize a trade and make it valid. In Alden’s family the clearance person is Michelle; in Neil’s, Tom; plus the approval of BOTH is required. We believe this rule will prevent problems inside each of the two families.

The calendars are created so that Alden’s family gets the Villa for the 4th of July on even years and Neil’s family gets the Villa for the 4th of July on odd years.
